We are pleased to inform you that our first stop will be hosted by the Johor State Government and in association with the two major marine attractions in southern Johor's west of the causeway, Danga Bay and Puteri Harbour Marina.
Danga Bay is centrally located right in the heart of the city of Johor Bahru and a fitting introduction to Malaysia. Meanwhile, Puteri Harbour is Malaysia'snewest marina and also the signature development for the Nusajaya project is scheduled to open in mid-December 2008.
The venue will be curtain raiser Sail Malaysia leg of events!

Some notes:
i. As you approach the 2nd link bridge please call Puteri Harbour Marina (Vhf. Ch. 18) for assistance. Puteri Harbour can provide the escort service into Danga Bay where you are able to process your customs and immigration.
ii. The customs and immigration clearance can be done at Danga Bay itself on 14 November where a one-stop centre will be provided between 10am-12 noon, and 3-5pm.
26-28 November 2008 : Lumut, Perak
The Lumut/Pangkor waters is one of the best sailing areas south of Penang and is virtually unknown. The event is hosted by the Perak State Government. The yacht club is relatively small and most yachts will need to anchor nearby.

The marina is the only inner-city marina in Malaysia. Participants are able to enjoy a diverse range of culture and heritage within minutes of walking distance from their boats.
With the support of our hosts, Penang Port Sdn. Bhd., the rally boats will also participate in our annual Passing Under the Penang Bridge, the only such convoy in the 3,00 nautical mile journey.

26-30 December 2008 : Langkawi (GeoPark), Kedah
Langkawi is the final destination for most of the rally participants after a 3,000 nautical mile voyage. The island is the most idyllic for cruising yachts with 3 major marinas and a host of choice anchorage spots. Langkawi is officially endorsed as a World GeoPark by UNESCO, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, with rock formations dating back over 500 million years.
Together with our hosts, Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), we plan to arrange a reunion dinner for all rally participants, past and present (Keep yourself posted for further details on this event). The main location for the events in Langkawi will around the Telaga Harbour Marina.
